The festival children get the most excited about is Christmas Day. Every kid waits for it all year long because this is the day they receive loads of gifts from Santa Claus. The beauty of this event is that all kids regardless of how they have behaved throughout the year get blessed by their parents equally. No one has the right to say kids are being spoiled with gifts on Christmas Day.
Reddit user u/theantigrinch’s mother-in-law, however, had different thoughts. OP got a new job that paid very well so he decided to get everyone loads of gifts for Christmas, especially for his daughter who had behaved really well throughout the year and had put great effort in school. However, his MIL, who was also going to get a $600 designer bag, objected that OP’s daughter shouldn’t be getting the amount of gifts her father was going to give her as it would spoil her. MIL went on to say she won’t be giving her gift to OP’s daughter anymore because she is already getting too many.
This angered OP and he decided not to give the designer bag to MIL anymore and instead got her a $40 robe. OP’s wife told him it is her gift and she can do anything with it so he applied the same policy by changing the gift that he had selected for her.

Such a beautiful revenge. MIL had no point poking her nose in this. Why does she care what OP buys and for who…And OP had got such a good bag for MIL as well, but she lost it. That’s what happens. I am sure OP didn’t give a single sh*t about MIL’s view.
Just enjoy the event, man. Have nice food, open gifts, spread joy, that is it.
