We all make mistakes. And it is okay. But if you keep denying that you made a mistake and insist that you are correct, there is something wrong with you, and you require medical attention. As simple as that.
There is a subreddit called “I don’t work here lady” that contains thousands of stories of people mistaking other people for employees and not wanting to believe that they don’t work there. Such stories don’t go too well for the mistaken person, that’s what we have read on that subreddit over the years.
But the story we have got for you guys today from that subreddit is completely the opposite. Reddit user u/Joxem13 just moved into a new house with his wife and they were cleaning it all up. While OP was mowing the lawn he noticed an old granny coming towards him. She came up to him and request him to mow her lawn for 20 bucks. He was wearing an attire that looked just like that of a gardener so OP realized quickly that he has been mistaken by her as a gardener. However, instead of correcting her, he told her he would do it.
After 30 minutes, OP was done cleaning up the entire lawn and didn’t charge the old granny anything. She thanked him for his kindness and gave him a large glass of water.

Kindness still exists ladies and gentlemen. We have read so many stories under the header “I don’t work here lady” and they always end with someone getting arrested, reported, slapped, etc. Not this time, this time the person definitely was mistaken but he did not correct the old woman, instead, he helped her out. It only took 30 minutes of his time and he made the woman extremely happy. And it was so lovely that he didn’t take any money. OP, you are a legend.
11. The old woman felt ashamed and apologized to OP. He told her it was fine and he did it because he cared.
