Girl Made Derogatory Comments About An Asian Student In His Face

asian harassment

Ra*ism is unacceptable in any part of the world, it’s just something not acceptable. You cannot differentiate humans based on their race and make stereotypical comments about them as it is extremely disrespectful and serves no good purpose to anyone.

Reddit user u/throwaway392071 shared his story of being victimized like so by a female student in his school once. OP is an Asian and the only Chinese student in his class. A girl in his class always harras*es him by ra*ially abu*ing him for being an Asian and associating so many derogatory statements with him even though he has nothing to do with any of it.

OP didn’t know much about that girl but he knew she had terrible teeth and was very poor. So after reaching his saturation point and in order to teach the girl a lesson, he decided to go off on her by bringing about her poverty and the way her teeth looked ugly. The girl started crying and everyone said OP went too far.

OP decided to share the story with the community members of the subreddit “Am I The A$$hole?” to know if what he did was wrong or not. Scroll down below to read the story!

6. The oppression continued on as the girl, without any fear, kept haras*ing OP in his face, passing the most ra*ist comments.

7. And no one showed any support. People around OP would laugh every time this girl would hara*s OP.

They are both studying at the same institution, paying the same, and being taught by the same people, so this differentiation should never be created. This is the root level, where it all starts. If we can stop it at the school level, ra*ism will never be able to branch and expand.

What this girl is doing is the exact opposite and the fact that no one stopped her and instead laughed at her haras*ing OP is unfortunate and scary if you think long term.

Here’s what the internet had to say about this:

11. Unfortunately to hit them back you have to stoop down to their level but that is the only way.

12. The comment OP made is also not appreciated but it had to be done to teach a lesson to that girl.

13. OP tried to explore all options. When none of them worked, he took matters into his own hands. That’s how it happens, universally. And that’s how it should be done.

14. We all have a saturation point. You cannot expect what would happen after that.

15. I agree, the statement OP’s response can never be encouraged and was equally rude but he got forced to do so.
