Reddit user u/AirSignificant4781 was stuck in a dilemma of whether she did the right thing or not so she took it to the infamous subreddit “Am I The A$$hole?” to share her story, and left her fate at the hands of the AITA community members.
OP shared she had never had a good relationship with her mother-in-law. This worsened even further when one time the family went on a trip. The in-laws had made an arrangement there to have dinner at a very fancy restaurant but didn’t invite OP to it. Upon asking why they didn’t want her to be there, OP’s husband told her that the in-laws are of the view that her belonging to a lower class compared to theirs, she won’t be able to eat the food at that restaurant the way it is supposed to be eaten.
This angered OP as she felt disrespected and decided to go leave the trip. Yup, she literally packed her stuff and went back home.

5. As soon as her husband left, OP booked the earliest flight back home and left the trip. Her husband got furious after finding out.
6. OP got called ungrateful by her husband because he had made hard efforts to have her come with them on the trip.
7. The family also made Facebook posts criticizing OP for what she did. A bit over the top, I think.
This is so bad! I mean, making those Facebook posts is just so under the belt. They are letting the whole world know of the terrible thing that they did but are trying to turn it on OP. So judgemental, I would be concerned if OP stuck with these people. They won’t let her live her life. OP needs to make some strong decisions moving ahead.
