There’s immense responsibility in this role, including determining students’ futures. In today’s Reddit post, the teacher (OP) felt compelled to fail a student due to a lack of hard work, potentially ruining their plans for college. #5) OP has tried every method to get Levi’s grades up, even conducting parent teacher meetings, and taking him to a counselor, but to no avail. Levi is failing.

#6) Levi approaches OP and asks him how to get a better grade in the last week of school. OP encourages him to study for his final exam but it won’t be enough. Levi begs OP for help.

#7) OP stood his ground and gave Levi a reality check, which was followed by an email from his mother, wishing she had put more time in him.
