OP did what was totally right. If you consider yourself in OP’s position then you would get to know that often horrible bosses try to scare you and exploit you, and this is exactly what was happening here. Luckily, OP dodged the situation pretty well and he broke the shackle that was connected to his feet while working at that particular organization.
