Guy Switches To Regular Milk To Prove His Lactose Intolerant Roommate Keeps Stealing From Him

Roommate Steals Milk

Stealing is a crime and everyone who commits it should be punished accordingly. If you agree to steal, there might be a relaxation observed in the punishment, but it cannot be ignored entirely…unless the person you stole from voluntarily decides to forgive you. Reddit user gottmilk_ may have done the same but his thief just kept denying that he stole anything which led to OP teaching him a lesson to both confirm that the opposite party was a thief and to let him know stealing is not a good thing to do.

OP lives with two roommates and one of them kept stealing his food. He would drink all his almond milk and would finish up all his leftover meals as well. OP knew it was this roommate stealing his stuff so he decided to confront him. The roommate denied it and got mad at OP for being accused of theft. To prove his point, OP decided to switch his almond milk to regular milk. The criminal roommate was lactose intolerant and consuming the regular mik would certainly cause some sort of allergic reaction resulting in him getting caught.

Scroll down below to read how creatively OP caught his thief.

1. That’s one way of teaching someone stealing is not okay.

2. OP lives with two roommates who split the bills on everything except groceries. However for a year now, there has been an issue with this regard.

3. One of OP’s roommates R keeps stealing his food. OP is sure of this because the containers carrying his name either go missing or have no food in them…even though OP hadn’t finished it yet.

It must be noted that OP specifically mentioned almond milk when telling us about R stealing his food. This information may have a key role to play later in the story.

4. R just denies any act of theft every time OP confronts him.

5. He like’s your food better, OP. That is why he steals yours more than the other guy’s food. He still does it though and that is pathetic.

6. So does he suddenly lose appetite for the food he buys as soon as he puts it in the fridge?

7. OP decided to play Kevin McCallister on R by switching his almond milk for regular milk. Knowing he is lactose intolerant, he is bound to have some sort of reaction the next time he drinks OP’s milk.

8. And it happened. The thief got caught red-handed.

This is lovely and hilarious at the same time. He had it coming. At least now he will understand stealing someone else’s food is not okay. I think they teach you that in grade 1 but maybe R was absent that day. Hopefully, that 40-minute diarrhea will kick some sense in him.

OP was NTA. He was only trying to catch a criminal. Let’s see how things proceed from here. Scroll down below to continue reading!

9. If he had just asked, I am sure OP would’ve never refused. He could’ve drank all the almond milk with permission but he chose to steal it.

11. R stole…then he kept denying that he stole…OP then had to resort to his own ways to get the truth out.

13. Perfectly said. In no way can we blame OP for anything that happened in this story.

14. R tried to create a scene to undermine the fact that he stole that milk and that is how he got the diarrhea.

15. R, you are done for.
